TJ Lavin Update

Yesterday BMX star TJ Lavin suffered a crash which left him in a coma.

TJ's close friend and fellow professional rider Ryan Nyquist told People, that TJ was "tweaked" before his ride on Saturday night due to the condition of Ty Pinney, who also crashed that night and is currently just five hospital beds away from TJ.

According to Ryan:

"It definitely messes with you. I've had friends go down hard and you just think about it. It hits so close to home because that could be you... I feel like that was really one [TJ's] mind when he competed. It can't not affect you."

Ryan says TJ is still unconscious, with a breathing tube down his throat.

Ironic that the ride that was suposed to be TJ's goodbye to the sport...landed him in a coma
