In really sad news...Elizabeth Edwards, (best-selling author, mother of three and the wife of two-time presidential candidate John Edwards) lost her 6 year battle with cancer this evening.
Just the other day her doctors suggested that she stop her cancer treatments.
She was surrrounded by friends and family in her final days.
Yesterday, Elizabeth posted:

It's called being human. She is survived by daughter, Cate, and two younger children, Jack and Emma. Her son Wade died in a car accident at age 16 back in 1996.

Both Star Magazine and Radar Online are claiming that Britney Spears was abused by her boyfriend Jason Trawick
Of course Jason and Brit's manager Larry Rudolph steadily deny the allegation.
But supposedly after the 'incident'...Britney called her ex-husband Jason to confess that she was assaulted by Jason.
This is the statement that was released by Britney's reps:
"Every aspect of the story published by Star Magazine is completely and utterly false and Star Magazine was informed of the falsity before it was published. The statements attributed to Jason Alexander are a complete fabrication as Britney has not had any form of communication with Mr. Alexander in years. The audio recording posted on Radar Online purporting to be between Britney Spears and Jason Alexander is so obviously fake as to be laughable. Suffice it to say, that Jason Trawick has never laid a hand on Britney. This is just another example of the irresponsible nature of the tabloid media relying on shoddy sources and false information for the sole purpose of selling magazines, without regard to the truth and without regard to who they hurt in the process. These irresponsible statements are defamatory and Britney Spears' legal team will be taking legal action against all of the appropriate parties."
