While the romantics of DC were hoping it would be Prince William, and the ladies of DC were hoping it would be Prince Harry, their daddy, Prince Charles, is visiting DC today, and he will be welcomed by the farmers.
Prince Charles is in DC today to help promote sustainable agriculture and will be visiting Common Good City Farm which provides food to low income DC residents (who knew we had a farm in the middle of the District?).
On Wednesday, he will be giving a scintillating keynote address at a conference on sustainable agriculture at Georgetown University.
Then, in what should be the highlight of the trip, Prince Charles will be stopping by the Supreme Court to celebrate a special scholarship given to American students to study the law in Britain. (How come he can't swing by the National Archives and check out the Declaration of Independence? Too soon?)
Meanwhile, rumors are flying that Prince William and Princess Kate will be adding a Hollywood stop to their July visit to Canada. I don't think they will be making any speeches about sustainable agriculture.
