More Musings And Random Thoughts About Charlie, Clarence and Corey Feldman

|
katyperrylastfridaynight.pngDid you hear the one about Charlie Sheen getting another job?  TMZ is reporting Sheen is super close to signing a deal to star in a new TV sit com that will debut in January 2012.  I thought he was going to show up next on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew or Celebrity Apprentice, so let's see what he has up his sleeve, if anything, later this week.

Maybe some of the saddest news from this weekend will turn out to have a happier ending than we thought was possible.  Saxophone Superman Clarence "The Big Man" Clemons of The E Street Band suffered a horrible stroke Sunday, but, on Monday, his chances for recovery and survival greatly increased.  At first, he was paralyzed on one side, but has started to use that hand and has been responding to those around him.  The 69-year old music legend has just been introduced to a new generation of fans by playing with Lady Gaga on American Idol and her new CD, but most of us will be pulling for a full recovery, so we might get one more chance to see Bruce Springsteen and Clarence Clemons rocking the house.  It's hard to imagine an E Street Band without The Big Man.  I hope we don't have to.

What's the worst part of Katy Perry's new video for Last Friday Night?  The appearances from Hanson, Corey Feldman and Kenny G?  The fact that Rebecca Black is such a household name these days she qualifies for a celebrity cameo?  The way the whole enterprise feels like a rip-off of The Hangover?  How you get hooked on the beat and started singing along even though you are old enough to be her perverted Uncle?

Did anyone watch The Tonys?  Yeah, me neither.

At this point, I have a feeling it will be easier to count the number of people who DID NOT get a naked photo of Soon-To-Be-Former Congressman Anthony Weiner.  How long will it take for him to resign or pose for Playgirl?
