Clarence "The Big Man" Clemons of The E Street Band suffered a horrible
stroke Sunday, but, on Monday, his chances for recovery and survival
greatly increased. At first, he was paralyzed on one side, but has
started to use that hand and has been responding to those around him.
The 69-year old music legend has just been introduced to a new
generation of fans by playing with Lady Gaga on American Idol and her
new CD, but most of us will be pulling for a full recovery, so we might
get one more chance to see Bruce Springsteen and Clarence Clemons
rocking the house. It's hard to imagine an E Street Band without The
Big Man. I hope we don't have to.
