One Tree Hill: Let The Countdown Begin

Brooke gets sassyOTH fans, we only have to wait TWO MORE DAYS until new episodes! In "You Call It Madness, But I Call It Love," airing Wednesday, 9/8c, we'll finally see what happens at the prom (if you recall -- everyone, or almost everyone, was just arriving). Need to catch up? Read a recap of "Prom Night at Hater High," or get a Season 4 so far recap.

What we're wondering:

Will Rachel make a surprise appearance? She looked pretty wistful at the end of the last new episode...

Will Lucas come to Peyton's rescue? She could use some help right now, but he might not even realize anything's wrong.

And what's next for Brooke and Peyton's friendship? Can the feisty gals reconcile their feud once and for all? We want some quality Brooke/Peyton time in upcoming episodes! Not that the catfights weren't fun...

We can't wait to see how will prom turn out for lovebirds Nathan and Haley -- here's hoping they have a romantic evening! What are you dying to see in Wednesday's all-new OTH episode? Tell us!

MORE: While you're trying to get through the final hours, check out our newly updated OTH video player for interviews with Paul Johansson, Sophia Bush, Tyler Hilton, Hilarie Burton, and more!

Smallville Goes Back in Time with 'Noir'

Smallville

We love Jimmy Olsen, and we're not ashamed of it. He's a little bit country and a little bit rock 'n' roll... Okay, he's probably not either, but you know what we mean, right? That's fine if you don't. Then we don't have to fight over him with you!

We're jazzed about this Thursday's episode. We're definitely old fashioned at heart. We love classic movies and the styles of yesteryear. Want to see what we're talking about? Check out these pics from 'Noir.' Clark and Lois look good, don't they? Lionel is quite dapper as well. And, of course, Jimmy is as cute as ever.

Why are our friends back in the '40s? Well, precious Jimmy knocks himself out while checking out some intriguing photos of an incident involving Lionel and Lana. As it turns out, in old Smallville Lana's plotting Lex's death. Perhaps 'Back to the Future' is a more apprioriate name for this episode...

Are you as jazzed about this ep as we are? What will Clark do when he finds out the real reason why Lana married Lex? What are Lana and Lionel up to now? And don't you just wish guys went back to wearing suits more often?

Top Model: Catfights, Hula Hoops, and Fine Dining Gone Awry

So, who caught the Top Model clip show on Wednesday? It was cool to see the softer side of Renee (cleaning the bathroom! being mature when Jael went pom-pom crazy!). Jaslene rubbed us the wrong way all over again with her overconfident comments: "When I watch these girls walk, it's so funny to me, just 'cause I'm the best when I get out there." Never mind that she was called out as being one of the worst in the runway challenge! Ugh. There's confident and then there's arrogant, and she crossed the line about five episodes back. Why does everyone love this girl (seriously, we really want to know! Jaslene fans, speak up!)?

Dionne showed us a tougher side when she faced off with Renee. Ahh! Catfight! Okay, Renee can be annoying, but really, Dionne started that fight. She decides to pick a fight... because people are actually GETTING ALONG? Just enjoy the peace and quiet!

Poor Cassandra got frostbite from holding that ice cream too long in the candy shoot... and they still sent her home. Doesn't that define "modeling through it?"

We have to say, Natasha does a pretty dead-on Tyra imitation. Brittany really knows how to turn on the waterworks. And we wouldn't want to take on Jael in a hula hoop competition.

Anyway, we're excited for next week's episode when the remaining five models take on a swimsuit challenge! That's Tyra's bread and butter, so we're sure she'll have plenty of comments, praise and criticism.

We'll leave you with a funny video clip of the models eating some exotic Australian cuisine. Check out their reactions when they find out what they've just eaten:

Supernatural: Split Decision

The Winchesters head to jailWe’ve got a split decision on this episode here at CW Source Central. The majority loved it – it was light, it was snarky, it had a creepy ghost and lots of brotherly banter. But a vocal minority thought the episode just didn’t quite gel – yeah, the elements were there, but they didn’t hang together. What do you think? Need to refresh your memory? Read a full recap!

Here’s the stuff we all agree on: The brotherly interaction blew us away. Dean was in full-on snarktastic mode, and Sam kept trying to remind him that, dude, we’re in JAIL, and that’s BAD. Which was your favorite Dean snarky moment? The guys just played off each other so well, and we love the way they work together. Plus, Sam and Dean revisited some of the themes that have served them so well over the past couple of seasons: Loyalty, paying off debts, Dean being determined to honor his father’s presumed will while Sam was less sure about it all.

We all liked the various fake-outs in this episode – did any of you guess that the mean, abusive guard was actually they guys’ contact on the inside? That took us by surprise. Deacon did far too convincing a job at being a bad guy. Plus, who would have guessed that the vengeful ghost wasn’t an expired psycho killer, but was instead a former nurse?

Finally, we all loved the guest actors in this episode. We applauded the return of Agent Hendrickson – he’s a great foil for the boys, and his mere presence was almost – almost – enough to wipe that smirk off Dean’s face. The various bad-ass cons were perfectly done – we loved poor doomed Tiny, with his self-esteem issues. And who would have thought that they’d be able to find a guest actor even taller than Sam? Plus, the guys’ feisty lawyer did a great job fending off Hendrickson – she might be someone we’d like to see again.

But that kind of gets us to the part that some of us aren’t so sure about.

The show did such a fantastic job building the sense of menace, the “we’re so screwed” attitude, in Night Shifter, that it was sort of jarring to have Dean, especially, acting so cavalier about potential consequences. Agent Hendrickson isn’t just a pretty face – he’s a competent agent who’s obsessed with bringing the boys down. Last time, the guys got that. This time, they sort of ignored that fact. It didn’t ring true for some of us.

And while we all liked the guys’ lawyer, her sudden conversion to the guys’ cause, with no real evidence other than some weird facts and Dean looking deep into her eyes and telling her they were on the side of the angels, didn’t quite sit right with some of us. Granted, the guys rocked their prison jumpsuits, and Dean was quite sincere when he talked to her, but would that really be enough for a seasoned attorney to risk her law license and lie to the Feds? We weren’t sure. And perhaps we’re paranoid, but we couldn’t help but think maybe her participation in this wasn’t accidental – is she part of some sort of demonic plot? Or did she just genuinely believe in the boys?

So what did you think? Do you love it, hate it, or think it sort of missed the mark? Did the ghost scare you sufficiently? Were you fooled by Deacon’s bad-guard act? Do you buy that Hendrickson would let the guys slip through his fingers again? And how obsessed with he be with catching the Winchester boys now that they’ve eluded him twice? Discuss!

'Nemesis': Friends or Foes, Who Knows?

Smallville
This episode pretty much kicked ass. Clark and Lex, cinematically dirty and disheveled! Former friends sharing recriminations as they fight for their lives! Lex confounding expectations - only to prove himself to be even more duplicitous than we thought! Lana in full-on manipulative evil Luthor mode! Bliss!

What did you think of Clark and Lex’s conversations in the tunnel? Is Lex really evil because Clark turned his back on him, or is he just bad to the bone? We lean towards the latter, although we couldn’t help but sniffle a little when Lex admitted that Clark was the only friend he ever really had. Poor Lex. He did have one hell of a crappy childhood… and adulthood… but we’re not sure that excuses the whole megalomaniacal-attempting-to-take-over-the-world thing. And it’s interesting how things are never really Lex’s fault, isn’t it? As far as he’s concerned, he’s bad because people expect him to be. Trust us, Lex, no one expected you to build an army of meteor freaks. That’s all you.

We liked the way Lex’s hesitation to save Clark mirrored Clark’s moment of hesitation to save Lex last week. We did think Lex was leaving Clark to die, rather than looking for a suitable lever. Were you surprised when he came back? Or do you suspect that Lex has always had a good side yearning to break free?

And what about Lana - she’s taking to the Luthor name pretty well in this episode! She convincingly menaced Lionel in the hospital, and the way she swooped in and coolly snagged Lex’s briefcase from the police? Masterful.

But the best bit of knife-twisting was at the end, when she confessed that she’d thought about bailing on the wedding and blamed it on her feeling that something was wrong with the baby. How could anyone love someone who lied about something that important, she said, batting her eyes, acting innocent. Lex was forced to swallow his panic and keep pretending everything was fine, that he had nothing to do with faking the pregnancy. Granted, a slightly healthier response would have been for Lana to tell Lex she knew about the pregnancy, then walk out on him, but where’s the fun in that?

What did you think? Were the scenes between Clark and Lex in the tunnel everything you hoped? Were you more surprised by the reveal that Lex lied about his kidnapper’s husband, or that Lex came back to help Clark? Do you agree with Lana’s decision to stay with Lex but let him twist in the wind? Is hope really both Clark’s greatest strength and most dangerous weakness, as Martha said?

Terry Crews Casting News: He's Everywhere!

The very busy Terry CrewsWhat do we do when we're not watching CW shows and writing for the blog? Sleep, relax, goof off, then sleep some more.

But CW stars are a different, hardier breed. When they're not working on their shows, they're busy working on movie projects.

Take Terry Crews. The Everybody Hates Chris dad may be the hardest-working man on television. His character, Julius, has three jobs. In real life, Crews has just been cast in one picture, while another is in post-production and a two more are awaiting release. When does this man sleep?

First up, Crews will be appearing as a competitor in "Balls of Fury," a movie about a deadly underground Ping Pong tournament and the fiendish mastermind (Christopher Walken, who looks like he's having a blast) who runs it. We can't wait to see Crews in all his bicep-flexing glory. Then he'll be showing up in "Who's Your Caddy," a comedy about a rap mogul (Antwan "Big Boi" Patton of Outkast) who wants to play golf at a snooty country club. No word on if mischievous gophers will be involved.

Crews' third movie, currently in post-production, is "How to Rob a Bank," about a slacker (Nick Stahl) who gets roped into the role of hostage negotiator between the robber (Gavin Rossdale) and the cops (represented by Crews.) It sounds like Crews will have plenty of opportunity to exhibit his comic gifts.

Finally, Crews has just started filming "Get Smart," an update on the 60s TV comedy about spies, shoe phones and the battle between the organizations KAOS and CONTROL. Crews plays Agent 91 alongside current comedy It-boy Steve Carell (love him!), go-to ingénue Anne Hathaway, and a host of other luminaries, including Masi Oka, The Rock, Alan Arkin and Terrence Stamp.

Whew! Just writing about how busy Crews has been has tuckered us out. We need a nap.

Do any of these projects pique your interest? What's your favorite Terry Crews role? Let us know what you think!

Veronica Mars Returns Tuesday!

Veronica's back next week!

New episodes of Veronica Mars are back starting next Tuesday at 9/8c, and we can't wait! The show is making the move from long mystery arcs (like the head-shaving rapist or who killed Dean O'Dell) to stand-alone, one-shot mysteries. It's a change for Veronica, and we're looking forward to seeing how the transition works. The buzz on these upcoming eps is universally positive.

Take this comment from TV Guide's Michael Ausiello: "I've seen the next two episodes, and I'm ready to declare the new self-contained mystery experiment a resounding success."

And E!Online's Kristen says "I just watched the first episode back and it is soooooo freaking good! Feels a bit more like first season and there is something that happens towards the end of the ep that will break your heart -- and then make it leap out of your chest!" Sounds great!

Ausiello says that we should think that even though we're not seeing mystery arcs anymore, it's not like each episode exists in a vacuum. Apparently, we can expect to see Veronica's love life develop and change – "Major developments abound, and, strangely, most of them seem to occur in or around elevators." Interesting.

Both Ausiello and Kristen have some clues on just what direction Veronica's heart may be going, but we'll let you search out that information yourself – we don't want to taint those who'd rather remain unspoiled!

Now, what's the news on Veronica's prospects for renewal? Rumors are flying thick and fast but, alas, nothing is set. Here's one take:

Enrico Colantoni told the Toronto Star that Veronica's jump to the future looks unlikely, but the show is still hanging in there. "Rob (creator/producer Thomas) and a couple of the other executives said, `Let's make a little showcase pilot of what Veronica could be like in four years.' They thought Dawn might latch on to the idea of Veronica as an FBI agent in a kind of sexy workplace environment, á la Grey's Anatomy, that kind of thing. We shot 10 pages and they saw it and the reaction was, `That's not our show.' Then they saw the last episode of this season, and it was so on the money ... it was like the first two years. And I think the network was very excited about that."

But Rob Thomas has a different view: he agrees that the network loved the season finale, but the rest? Not so much. "I have no earthly idea what Enrico is talking about," Thomas told TV Guide. "The network doesn't see it or hear our pitches for VM College or VM FBI until May 2." Hmmm.

Are you looking forward to new Veronica Mars episodes? Do the stand-alone episodes sound interesting, or are you more a fan of the mystery arcs? What do you want to see happen with Veronica's love life – or are you over that whole aspect of the show? Do you hope Enrico's version of Veronica's future is accurate, or are you still open to Veronica Mars, FBI? Tell us what you think!

Smallville: Chloe's Powers Revealed!

Smallville's Allison Mack

E!Online's Kristin has some scoop on Chloe's meteor powers - but she's keeping the details to herself. Harumph.

What she does tell us is when we'll find out for ourselves - during the season finale. What's more, Kristin tells us that Lois Lane is instrumental in revealing the powers. Innnnteresting.

What do you think Chloe's powers may be? How does Lois help us find out? Do you think the reveal has anything to do with the death that The Powers That Be have been teasing? So many possibilities...

Gilmore Girls: Rory's Rejection, Lorelai and Luke's New Start

Rory was rejected -- now what? Last night's episode really felt like old Gilmore Girls, in the best possible way (although we're missing Emily and Richard. Please, bring them back next week!). Lorelai back at Luke's diner! A cute subplot for Sookie and Jackson! Rory and Paris interaction (and subsequent Paris craziness)! We loved it. Missed any of it, or just want to relive some of the best moments? Read our full recap.

Paris got accepted to EVERY SINGLE law and med school she applied to. Wow. Makes up for her undergrad rejections, don'tcha think? Paris is quite impressive. However, she managed to (as only Paris can) turn her many acceptances into a problem, temporarily breaking up with Doyle and stressing about where to go next. Fortunately, Doyle would have none of her neuroses, and he insisted that wherever she went, he'd be right be her side. Aw, Doyle! Are you a fan of those two together, or would you have preferred that they go their separate ways?

Meanwhile, Lorelai finally showed her face at Luke's dinner for the most awkward cup of coffee ever observed. Things became way more normal when they went car shopping together later, though. It was like old times! Crazy Lorelai and sane Luke bantering and bickering... if only we could've had this all season (yes, after watching them together again, we are once again turning into very biased fans of this couple).

The lighthearted episode ended on a decidedly somber note when Rory finally received a letter from the Times about her fellowship... a rejection letter. Poor Rory! It's so hard when everyone else seems to have a plan and you don't. And this is one of the few times in her life Rory's been rejected. At least she didn't steal a boat this time (yet)... Were you surprised that she didn't get the fellowship?

What'd you think of the episode? What do you think Rory should do next? Should Logan and Doyle be big factors in the girls' future plans? The promos made it look like Logan makes up for his absence this week in a big way next week...

And as for Lorelai and Luke -- think they're headed in the right direction?

Exclusive Video Interview: Pussycat Doll Winner Asia

Brand-new Pussycat Doll Asia's got a sleek new look -- check out her post-win video interview.

Pussycat Dolls: Congratulations, Asia!

Asia, winner of Search for the Next Doll

So it's official! Asia is the next Pussycat Doll. Congrats, Asia! Are you happy she won?

We have to admit, we're a bit surprised -- and from the looks of last week's poll, so are many of you. Most of you expected Melissa R. to win -- and many were hoping for Chelsea. But Asia's always been a serious contender. She may not have Chelsea's voice, but she definitely has the moves and the 'tude that Robin wants for a PCD. She did a great job on her solo performance (although it's hard to compare an uptempo tune to the ones that Chelsea and Melissa R. performed. We wish that all three would've performed the same song).

All season Asia's been one of the top performers. She's sailed through each week with lots of praise from the judges. Some of you weren't such fans of her picky eating habits (she's a strictly burgers 'n' fries kind of gal) or her drama a few episodes back. But you can't deny that the girl's got personality. And personality's something that's really important to the Pussycat Dolls.

We do think Chelsea had the best backstory (former overweight girl morphs into seriously glam, bangs-sporting performer), and it would've been cool to see her win, but Asia really does make the most sense. We could see Chelsea going solo and focusing more on her singing, since that's her strength. We'd buy her CD right now, if she were to put one out! And Melissa R.? Same thing. We adored her, too, and we think she'll be successful in another girl group OR solo.

But for now, it's all about Asia! Clearly, she's pretty polarizing -- you either love her or hate her. So what about you? Do you agree with the judges' decision? Are you excited to see Asia in the PCD? And for you Chelsea and Melissa R. fans, what do you hope they do next?

Wednesday's CW Recap with Jason C.

Jason C. relives the Top Model mania of last week (Tyra in a kangaroo suit, anyone?) and gets us ready for tonight's never-before-seen moments.

Confirmed: A Second Season of Pussycat Dolls Reality!

Melissa R., Chelsea, and Asia

Those of you who watched our Robin Antin/Mikey Minden video interview below already had a clue about this, but now we can tell you it's official. The producers of Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll have just announced that casting for a new Pussycat Dolls reality show will begin with a six-city tour beginning in Nashville on May 9. The casting team will also host auditions in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami and Houston.

We don't have a lot more information yet, but we're pleasantly surprised to hear that there will indeed be another season! We'd kind of assumed this was it -- how many new PCD members can there be? But we're not totally sure if this will be a competition for a new member. All we know is that Robin and Mikey will be back (love them!) and, as Robin promises in her interview, there will be sexy girls and lots of dancing. And really, what more do you need to know?

Planning on auditioning? Will you be tuning in to Season Two? Tell us what you think of this new Pussycat Dolls development!

Pussycat Dolls' Robin Antin and Mikey Minden Spill Finale Scoop

We're counting down the minutes until tonight's Pussycat Dolls finale. The dancing. The singing. Oh, and the drama (it looks like Melissa R. and Asia will face off!).

Our video interview with PCD's Robin Antin and Mikey Minden is helping us get through the final hours. Check out what they had to say about tonight's finale:

Tuesday's CW Recap with Jason C.

It's a big night on The CW tonight -- all-new Gilmore Girls with some good Lorelai/Luke interaction, plus the finale of Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll.
