Crowned Recap: Angela Digs Her Fake Nails into Opponents
We don't know about you, but we were outraged by last night's Crowned episode. Usually the tension and bitchiness alone make the show worth watching, but the hateful words spewing out of Angela's mouth during the smile competition did nothing but make us uncomfortable and angry. It's amazing that no one has put her in her place (the way we would like to) thus far. Really, there are so many things to rip on her about (the way she talks behind people's backs yet is infuriated and confrontational when someone else returns the favor, her manly appearance, how unflattering her clothes are, the list goes on...), but it seems as though everyone in the house is afraid of her for some reason.
Some things that we loved:
*When Mindy and Rachelle are preparing their video, Mindy laughs and says, "It's a good thing I only took one Vicodin" and then promptly passes out on the couch.
*Jenileigh sticking up for herself and her mom! We love you two!
*The facial expression Carson made when he heard Laura's screeching yet again.
Some things we hated:
*Despite Ada and Christan getting closer, they are on the evil side of things. We were surprised to hear Ada talking badly about the other teams. Aren't ALL of the contestants aware that EVERYONE is talking about everyone else behind their backs?
*Carson seems to be getting more and more red and shiny each episode. Put on some SPF 60, honey.
*Angela, completely and unapologetically
*Why is it that the judges give props to the most unfunny comedic performances? The Goal Driven Gals need to be brought down a few notches; otherwise they'll keep insisting that they are as smart and funny as they think they are. We've heard their comic routines and think Stephen Hawking's "A Brief History of Time" was funnier.
At the desashing ceremony, Angela and Tenia were able to fool the judges into believing they were genuine; they received top honors for their video blog routine. The mother and daughter duo to be sent home were, thankfully, the Goal Driven Gals. If we had to sit through one more episode of them trying to turn bad puns into a comedic bit, we were going to throw something at the television.
Next week, we are crossing our fingers that someone rips out Angela's weave (or "expensive hair extensions" as she would like to have us believe). Of course, that probably won't happen since the good girls in the house are too classy for that. What we know for sure is that the girls are going to get dirty doing volunteer work for Habitat for Humanity. Later they'll be making soap-box speeches to the public and one team's tension is aimed at each other. We'll put some money on the Sincere Sexy Reds, since Laura's only real talent seems to be "talking ugly" to her mother.
What'd you think of the episode? Are you as angry at Angela as we are? Tell us in the comments!
Comments
I like the show - it is something different.
However, I totally agree with Mia.
Angela and her daugher must go! They are so mean, cruel and just haters!!!

We can understand why you might feel that way SC, especially after that last episode...but what can we say, some of us (like myself) love the trash.

No one cares, because NO one is watching. Seriously. It's trash and not even GP worthy.
