9021-Uh Oh: Tori Spelling Peaces Out
It looks as though Donna Martin will not be making it back to her alma mater due to some (what else) financial issues. Tori Spelling has decided to pull out from the 90210 Spinoff after finding out her former co-stars Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth will be making at least twice as much per episode than she would. While the money issue is kind of understandable, Spelling should also take into account the fact that Kelly Taylor and Brenda Walsh were more important more prominent characters than Donna Martin.
What do you think about Spelling's departure? Was the pay unfair or whould she be thankful for whatever they were willing to give her? Don't forget, the new 90210 makes its CW debut Tuesday September 2nd!

I'm on Tori's side with this one. I agree about Brenda and Kelly being more important characters but let's not forget that she is the creators daughter and stayed on the show until the end.
I would think a character like Valerie Malone (Tiffani Amber Thiessen) would get less pay if she decided to reprise her role.

Wow - why so suddenly snarky? A few blog posts back you all were tripping over yourselves in praising Tori, even giving a shout out to her dead dog.
Glad to see "The CW" is being phased out here in Washington.

Wow, cheap much? They can't spare a few thousand? That is definitely an insult.
I understand that the characters of Brenda & Kelly seem more prominent, but Tori was on it for its full run. And she's (for lack of a better term) the legacy of Aaron Spelling! Hello?
Brenda/Shannen Doherty is definitely my favourite, and is probably the most anticipated since she left the show after the first 4 years.
But this situation is just horrendous. When "Friends" started, there was difference in pay, but the actors/actresses fighted for equality.

I don't blame her. Her father created the show and after everything he had done for The WB, the CW should have made her a decent offer.
