Who's the Hottest of Them All? You Decide! Part One: Women of The CW

We don't know about you, but we're getting sick of winter. To pass the time until spring finally comes, we've decided to turn up the heat – by looking at the CW hotties who make us warm all over. But no matter how many times we hash it out in the office, we can't decide: Who's the hunkiest guy on the network? What about the most gorgeous girl? How could we possibly choose?

Short answer: We won't. You will! We've got a selection of the most delectable men and women from all of your favorite scripted shows on The CW. We're pitting them against each other – and you get to vote for the one who makes your pulse race or your temperature spike. How’s that for a way to beat the winter blues?

Take a look at the polls below. You vote, and the winners of each matchup will advance to the next round. By the end of the month, you’ll have decided who are the most stunning man and woman on the CW network. May the hottest two win!

We're starting with the ladies. Part one is today, and we'll have more ladies for you to vote on later this week. Then we'll kick off next week with the men of The CW. The competition will last through February, so keep the temps rising (on your monitor, at least) and get voting!

GROUP ONE

Serena van der Woodsen (Gossip Girl) vs. Lois Lane (Smallville)
Serena vs. Lois
Serena van der Woodsen : The Upper East Side’s resident wild child combines the looks of an angel with the heart of a rebel. She’s smart, she’s funny, and she’s a certified knockout. She’s not willing to let society dictate what she does – or who she loves.
Lois Lane: How can you not love a statuesque stunner who is equally adept at chasing stories and kicking butt? Her gorgeous looks and fearless attitude have entranced more than a few superheroes –but will you fall for her?

Lots more after the jump, so keep reading!

CW Launch Party Pics (And Lots of Them)!

Erica DuranceWe've got pics from The CW launch party in Los Angeles! You'll see stars like Terry Crews, Erica Durance (right), Jared Padalecki, Chelsea, Robin, and Melissa R. from Pussycat Dolls Present, Tyler James Williams, Tichina Arnold, Ray Wise, and more! Jason C. interviewed many of the CW stars at the party, so we'll be posting chats with them very soon. For now, enjoy the pics, and keep checking back -- we're adding more daily.

A few tidbits: the cast of Everybody Hates Chris is AWESOME -- we'd love to hang out with them on the set sometime. It's got to be hard to keep a straight face with the jovial Terry Crews, hilarious Tichina Arnold, and straight man Tyler James Williams around.

We got some juicy updates from fan favorites Chelsea and Melissa R. of Pussycat Dolls Present (and yes, we made them sing for us). Both girls were touched when they heard how much love they got here on the Source in the spring. Plus, Robin Antin revealed what's new about Season Two of PCD Present.

Erica Durance shared some Smallville scoop, Amy Pietz talked about Aliens in America's controversial nature, and Ray Wise dished on his devilish ways on Reaper. Oh, and we chatted with Stevie Ryan and Tanika Ray of Online Nation and CW Now, respectively, to find out what those new Sunday shows have to offer.

Check out the pics and tell us what you think!

Tichina Arnold Nabs a Best Actress BET Nomination

Tichina ArnoldCongratulations to Tichina Arnold (Rochelle on “Everybody Hates Chris”) for her Best Actress nomination in the 2007 BET Award for Best Actress. She’s going up against against Jennifer Hudson (“Dreamgirls”), Angela Bassett (“Akeelah and the Bee”), Kerry Washington (“The Last King of Scotland”) and Chandra Wilson (“Grey's Anatomy”).

She talked to AOL Black Voices about the nomination and her history in show business: “It's been a scary, bumpy ride. But I had enough faith in myself and enough faith in God that I would go down the roads that I needed to go down and veer off too far," she said. "Thank God I've been able to stand the test of time!"

Good luck, Tichina!

On The Big Screen: Everybody Hates Chris Cast in Other Projects

Father and son on Everybody Hates Chris have graced the big screen recently: Tyler James Williams (Chris) in Unaccompanied Minors and Terry Crews (Julius) in Norbit, among other flicks. In March, mom and daughter are getting in on the action.

Tichina Arnold plays Martin Lawrence’s wife in the new buddy road comedy Wild Hogs. Apparently she’s just as fearsome in that flick as she is as Rochelle in Everybody Hates Chris – Lawrence only joins the road trip by lying to his wife that he’s going to a plumbing convention. We sure wouldn’t mess with her….

Imani Hakim, Tonya on “Chris,” joins a different family in Reign Over Me, a drama about a man (Adam Sandler) recovering from losing his family on 9/11 with the help of his old college roommate and his family. Hakim plays Don Cheadle and Jada Pinkett Smith’s daughter in this movie. We wonder how they stack up against Rochelle and Julius!

Finally, the Chris who started the whole show –- Chris Rock -– will be starring in the comedy I Think I Love My Wife, opening later this month.

He tells the Hartford Courant about filming, divorce rumors, and what can get you fired from a Chris Rock project: Original director Charles Stone III ("Drumline") ending up not directing “Wife” because "[h]e didn't like `Annie Hall'" Rock says. "That scared me." We have to agree with him there.
