Exclusive! Justin Hartley on Ollie's Past and a "Toxic" Episode

We're loving the fact the Justin Hartley's Oliver Queen is playing a bigger role on Smallville this year -- the character is great, and Justin is always fantastic to talk to! Jason C. sits down with Justin to get the scoop on Ollie's past, his multiple costume changes, his relationship with Tess, and the other women in Ollie's life. Plus, he gives us a hint into just what happens to send him into a "Toxic" shock. Needless to say, we've got some mild spoilers ahead, so don't watch if you don't want to know!

Casting News: Justin Hartley and Joanna Garcia Stick With The CW

Lots of CW news broke this morning, so let's kick off the week with a fix of casting scoop!

Justin HartleyFirst of all, Justin Hartley news! The Green Arrow will be making a move this fall -- Zap2it reports that Smallville's Justin Hartley is joining the cast of a new CW pilot, "Austin Golden Hour." The medical show differs from Grey's, House, and the rest because it's a real-time drama focusing on the 60 minutes immediately after an incident. While there's already a slew of medical dramas on TV, The CW has never offered anything in this genre before, so we have hopes that this'll be a little different. We would've liked to see a Green Arrow spinoff, but we'll take Justin in whatever form we can -- how about you?

In more CW casting news, Joanna Garcia (who played the dim but lovable Cheyenne on Reba) will join Michael Cassidy on "Filthy Rich Girls." Her new character will be a few rungs higher on the IQ ladder -- Garcia has nabbed the lead role, a Yale-educated gal who's tutoring a pair of spoiled Palm Beach siblings.

So what do you think of these casting developments? Are you excited to see Justin Hartley donning scrubs in the operating room, or will you miss him on Smallville? Reba fans, are you psyched for more Joanna Garcia? Let us know in the comments!

Justin Hartley Signs Holding Deal with the CW

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Smallville's Justin Hartley -- you know him as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow/Oh my god he's walking around shirtless again pardon us while we drool -- has signed a holding deal with the CW. That means he's joining the ranks of incredible hotties -- we're thinking Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki and Chad Michael Murray -- who seem to make a home at the network.

Does this mean the Green Arrow or Justice League spin-offs are a go? Or is the network just making sure they can call on Justin for any show they fancy? Whatever it is, we're glad that it sounds like Justin will be showing up on our screens again.

What do you think of news? What do you want to see Justin in? Vote in our poll and share your thougts in the comments!

Comic-Con 2007: Smallville Hits San Diego

Smallville

Last weekend some of Smallville's biggest stars hit Comic-Con 2007 in sunny San Diego, and MovieWeb snagged some great interviews with Justin "Green Arrow" Hartley, Laura "Supergirl" Vandervoort, Erica "Lois Lane" Durance and co-executive producers Al Gough and Miles Millar.

First we have Erica, who frankly is looking a little exhausted here. But who can blame her? It's not easy being a budding journalist, ass-kicking heroine and comic book icon all at once.

Aquaman Still Alive on iTunes

Aquaman

We know this has been out on the 'net for a while, but we finally got around to checking out the Aquaman pilot on iTunes. It's good stuff! Hopefully that Justice League spin-off will take shape soon, because we just can't get enough of Mr. Hartley.

But - just to clarify - we still love Tom too. We believe you can be a fan of both. Is that naive of us?

New Smallville returns in two days! TWO!! We waited so long, we thought the day would never come!
